What Type of Marketing or Advertising Annoys GenY?

College students are notoriously fickle when it comes to making purchases, so we asked what type of advertising annoys them.  They are extremely driven by price, and free samples often entice them to make a purchase after the product has been tested and approved by themselves or peers.  When it comes to advertising your brand, 54% of students polled said emails about a product or brand annoys them.  Radio came in at the #2 annoyance with 19.2%.  We found it encouraging that 42.3% of students polled said that advertising does not bother them; keep your brand top of mind… just take it easy on the email blasts.
